Role Summary:  

The Access Control Product Manager is responsible for setting the vision and strategy for our product portfolio, defining and prioritizing feature requests, and supporting new product introductions. This role requires a strong emphasis on cloud and SaaS-based product management experience. You will work closely with various disciplines throughout the organization to develop smart, cohesive product plans that align with our company strategy. Expect up to 35% travel and fieldwork.

What You'll Do:   

  • Product Strategy: 
    • Take ownership of the process that translates customer, market, business, and strategic requirements into functional/system specifications, focusing on creating innovative, competitive, and sustainable product roadmaps. 
    • Emphasize cloud and SaaS-based product solutions to enhance our offerings. 
  • Product Lifecycle Management: 
    • Manage the complete product lifecycle of the product portfolio, from inception to retirement. 
    • Evaluate and define project prioritizations based on market insight, product line strategy, and company goals. 
  • Security and Standards: 
    • Specify customer-facing and internal standards for security in products and features, uptime/SLA requirements, and targets for UI/UX ease of use/accessibility and app store ratings minima. 
  • New Product Opportunities: 
    • Identify and evaluate new product opportunities in cooperation with the Sales organization to increase competitiveness and revenues. 
  • Competitive Benchmarking: 
    • Conduct competitive product benchmarking in close cooperation with product experts, sales, and R&D. 
  • New Product Introductions: 
    • Plan and support new product introductions, including tasks such as requirement definition, feature prioritization, implementation sign-offs, field readiness, product documentation, and market launch. 
    • Ensure the availability of comprehensive product documentation, training, and marketing collateral. 
  • Relationship Management: 
    • Cultivate and grow relationships with internal customers to deliver innovative and quality-driven products in a timely and effective manner, leading to external customer satisfaction and business growth. 
    • Establish good working relationships with our current and future suppliers, a key aspect of the success of this role is relationship-based. 
  • Agile Practices: 
    • Lead strong backlog grooming and feature prioritization efforts aligned with standard Agile practices. 

What You'll Need to be Successful:  

  • Degree in electronics, information technology, marketing/business or another related field.  
  • 5+ years’ experience in product or portfolio management or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on cloud and SaaS-based product management. 
  • Experience within the security industry sector is an advantage  
  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management and New Product Development (agile project development experience is preferred)  
  • Experience in Pragmatic Framework, Proficientz, Quartz Product Framework or similar is preferred  
  • Demonstrable experience driving UI/UX differentiation is an advantage.  
  • Strategic thinking ability with balanced analytical, critical and creative approach  
  • Proven ability to interact with people at all levels, from different disciplines within a multi-cultural organization with and ability to capably review qualitative and quantitative data to derive strategic roadmaps  
  • Knowledge of customer complaint resolution and quality processes
