Your Impact
The Enterprise Cloud Administrator manages the day-to-day operations of acre’s enterprise cloud environment, ensuring stability, availability, and optimal performance. This role acts as the first line of defence for operational issues and plays a key role in supporting business-critical SaaS platforms, vendor governance, and cloud cost optimisation.
What You’ll Do
In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitor and Maintain acre’s Enterprise Cloud Environment and SaaS third parties we consume to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching. Deliver the Third Party Governance program for the SaaS services we consume for business services.
- First Line of support for the acre Enterprise Cloud Environment and services operating in it. Support business users troubleshoot issues with applications provided by Third Party SaaS services we consume, quickly diagnosing and resolving problems to minimise downtime.
- User Access Management support for the IT Infrastructure team, this will involve managing user accounts, permissions, and security groups within our environment, ensuring appropriate access levels.
- Backup & IT Disaster Recovery services and verify backup strategies and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard our critical data and applications.
- Cost Optimisation through the creation of quarterly cloud spending and identify opportunities to optimise resource utilisation and reduce costs without compromising performance.
- Maintain Documentation in a clear and concise manner covering our cloud configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaboration with and support our Research & Development/Software teams as they manage their cloud environments.
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with cloud and SaaS vendors
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related issues
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and identify improvement areas
- Ensure vendors comply with acre’s security and compliance standards
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Adherence to organisational cloud and security standards
- Cloud service availability and performance
- Number of production incidents and time to resolution
- Cost-effectiveness of cloud spending
- Vendor performance against SLAs
- Implementation of security best practices
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar cloud or infrastructure operations role
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, engineering, and operational practices
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and recommend improvements
- Clear communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, service-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Vendor management experience, including service level oversight
- Solid understanding of security best practices
- Automation mindset with a desire to improve efficiency
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering, IT, and vendor teams
