Your Impact
We’re looking for a talented Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Manufacturing engineering support, cost performance, and assurance of supply for access control and intrusion products manufactured at external EMS partners.
- NPI, EMS transfers, component lifecycle management, production test, and manufacturing cost reduction initiatives within the Supply Chain organization.
In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include:
Manufacturing & EMS Ownership
- Primary manufacturing engineering interface for assigned EMS partners.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet technical, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Drive resolution of manufacturing, supply, yield, or field return driven issues.
- Maintain close alignment with R&D, utilising established platforms such as Arena, Jira & Silicon Expert ensuring robust data quality, consistency, and governance.
- Own manufacturing related assurance of supply across the product lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate manufacturing and component supply risks.
- Support resilience through EMS to EMS transfers, process/test replication, and alternate BOM strategies.
- Partner with the supply chain business manager, planners, and buyers on capacity, risk, and contingency planning.
- Review and approve process flows, work instructions, and control plans.
- Support industrialization from prototype through pilot and production ramp.
- Lead or support EMS manufacturing transfers including BOM, process, test, and tooling alignment.
- Ensure transferred products meet yield, throughput, and manufacturability expectations.
- Perform component lifecycle and obsolescence risk assessments.
- Evaluate alternate components and sourcing options, considering compliance aspects.
- Identify and implement component and manufacturing cost down opportunities.
- Ensure cost actions do not impact functionality or availability.
- Define and approve production test requirements.
- Review EMS test strategies including Functional Test & In Circuit Test (ICT)
- Support release and validation of test fixtures and programming tools.
- Ensure test approaches are consistent across EMS partners.
- Support prototype, pilot, and ramp builds at EMS partners, validating golden samples.
- Ensure manufacturing readiness for product launch.
- Participate in change reviews assessing manufacturing, supply, and cost impact.
- Ensure changes are implemented consistently across suppliers using ECO.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 5+ years’ experience in electronics manufacturing or EMS environments.
- Experience working with multiple EMS partners.
- Proven NPI and manufacturing problem solving capability.
- International travel as required.
- Experience with access control or intrusion products.
- Experience with EMS manufacturing transfers.
- Experience delivering manufacturing or component cost reductions.
